Summary
Expresses the sense of Congress that the Federal Government should: (1) strongly oppose the anti-secession legislation of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), as it will alter the status quo in the region, and thus is a grave concern to the United States; (2) reaffirm its policy that the future of Taiwan should be resolved by peaceful means and with the consent of its people; and (3) continue to encourage dialogue between Taiwan and the PRC.
Urges the President to direct all appropriate Federal officials to reflect the concern with which the United States views the enactment of the anti-secession legislation to their counterpart officials in the PRC Government.
